Die schönste Stadt am Rhein
About Düsseldorf Wersten
Thanks to its well-developed accessibility by car and train, Wersten district is a densely populated and popular part of Düsseldorf city. A variety of shops and restaurants leave no wishes unfulfilled. Both, the city center as well as the rest of the city are easily accessible via tram lines U74 and U77, thus allowing for stress-free travels, even without a car. Anyone who enjoys exploring the surroundings by foot should definitely pay a visit to the Südpark. It is located in the district's northern part and offers a spacious natural landscape with many lakes and green spaces. In 1987, it also served as the exhibition grounds of the Bundesgartenschau (national garden show) along with the existing Volksgarten (people's garden).
Über Düsseldorf Bilk
Especially the younger population considers the Heinrich-Heine University and the connected University Clinic to be the heart of the Bilk district. Furthermore, the nearby Volksgarten (people's park) and Südpark with its spacious green areas and lakes offer many visitors relaxing times and rest. Although excellent transport connections via various trains and trams make short trips to the city a piece of cake, the "Düsseldorf Arcaden" shopping mall in Düsseldorf Bilk itself also offers great opportunities for shopping.
